WAKE UP SID!!!

Please dont be under the impression that, this post will talk about the movie… I haven’t watched the movie completely to write about it. I couldn’t come up with a title so I used this one…

On Saturday night, I was watching this movie with my friends Shashi, KK and Shewetos. I was too sleepy and went inside after watching it for half an hour or so. I was about to sleep and heard some one knocked our apartment door, I just peeped out of our bed room, and saw a father of 3 or 4 year old kid who are staying downstairs. I didn’t bother and arranged my sleeping bag and slept. Within two minutes, Guru came inside and told, tonight is Lucky’s, (The kid, no idea is he unlucky to have such parents or lucky to celebrate his birthday in US @ 12 in the midnight) birthday and they are going to cut cake @ 12 in the midnight!!! I was shocked and confused…

I can understand, guys/girls staying away from home or in hostel or anywhere in this world celebrating their friends birthday @ 12 in the midnight, but a kid who dont even have the idea what is birthday, the parents are celebrating it @ 12… Don’t they have commonsense or it is just a matter of status to keep that child awake till 12 and then celebrate? Is it really needed? Cant they celebrate it in the morning or evening, on birth day.

When I was kid, my parents used to do aarati in the evening of birth day and cook some special sweet and distribute among some of the known neighbors. But What has happened to today’s parents? Are we matured too early or they aren’t?

Me, Vish and Kabbur laughed @ their foolishness (or our intelligence, I dont know) and slept peacefully!!! And woke up Sunday morning @ 10AM…

Today afternoon my friend, Mr. Ncore sent me a video, titled as above. I usually reply back him saying, I have already seen this video, but this time after watching the video I replied him I will include this one in my blog. I will not reveal what the video is really about. So please take some time to watch this video and think about it when you are ordering in a restaurent or wasting food @ home next time. We all know the fact but still we forget it somehow.

JANA-GANA-MANA-RANN HAI

When I first saw the trailer of RANN, I was sure that the song is going to creat a kind of controversy, and that has happened, which is obvious. Also there is a news that, Sensor Board has banned this title track. All this is because the song uses the lines and tune of our National Anthem.

I agree, one has to be cautious while manipulating national anthem lyrics, as it is related to country’s dignity. But niether the lyrics nor the singing is bad. The ban is not right in my view, as it has no objectionable lyrics. Truth is clearly visible in each and every sentence and thats what hurting, “WE”, the people of India.

Those who dont want to see the reality and who are scared, the people of India will wake up and take action, against the corrupt system, only those can ban such a song.

I know, RGV is just using this song and people’s emotion to make money, what is so bad in it???

Someone rightly said “To me, a person eating chewing tobacco and spitting publicly on the face of my motherland is more of a criminal than someone who is twisting an anthem or getting thrills out of parodying it.”

Its very easy to criticize anyone but to come up with something concrete it needs guts and if someone has it appreciate that. We Indians are so used to live in our dream world, where India means Unity in diversity and Mera bhaarat mahaan. Indeed time has come to break the shackles and realize the truth.

Now before commenting what you feel/think, just listen to the song once [again], with the lyrics below. I am sure it will make you think, where have we reached in these 62 years of so called FREEDOM.

26/12 – Sidnal School Event

I start my post with “Three cheers to Teachermani group”. Hats off for the success of Sidnal 26/12 event.

As per the schedule the event would have taken place on November 14th, i.e. Children’s day, but the lack of volunteers and funding postponed the event on 26th December and our guys organized the entire event in professional manner. The event went well more than everyone’s expectations.

Oooooops!!!!! Most of you might not be knowing what the event is… The event was organized in Sidnal a small village and it was for school going children and their parents. The main motive is, to create the awarness and the importance of going to school and studying, and carrying it on throughout to create bright future for themselves. So the caption of the event was, ‘SANGYA SALIGE HODA, MANGYA MARA HATTIDA’. The team was lead by Jannu,Patkar, Ravi, Sandeep, vishal and others supported them equally. Thank you all.

The event started off with a skit, ‘SAALI KALATARA SAAVIRA DAARI; SAALI BITTARA NADU DARI’ – if you learn there are thousand ways in life, if not, you will be no where – followed by fun games (balloon fight, musical chair, sack race, lemon spoon, rangoli, memory test, balloon race). The event came to an end with prize distribution function and every child got one or the other gifts – T shirts, books, pens/pencils, crayons etc… None of them were tired even after such a long day at the same time each member of the organizing team thoroughly enjoyed the event. When it was the time to say bye, all the kids shook hands with all volunteers and asked everyone ‘MATTA YAVAGA BARTIRI ??’ matta barri etc! – when will you come once again? come again…

As per one of the organizers,
“The efforts were fruitful and the day was exciting for all of us and kids. Even teacher was happy at the end of the day – since she wasn’t sure how are we going to make it with short time for planning and preparation. So one GOAL reached and we are ready for many more in the future.”

To My TEACHER

Hello all this is my 1st post in my blog. I thought a lot what to write… and came up with this post. As it is my post it might not be interesting or that good but I have tried my best to keep it simple. One line that inspired me to start this blog is “I got enough courage to write my own blog ” by Iqbal The Genius. Thanks bE Iqbaaaaaaal!!!!!!

Now coming to the post, u might be curious to know what Shaanya has written, how he writes etc etc. Then start reading… (what are you waiting for )

Most of the people who know me and my family a bit, don’t know about one person whom I admire the most, who taught me a lot and who inspired me a lot. Any Guesses????
It is none other than Bhagoji Teahcer, simply known as TEACHER among B K Model students. TEACHER‘s full name is Jayashree P Bhagoji. She retired, on 30th May 2008, which was her birthday too. She is the perfect example for simplicity.

I entered B.K. Model School in Belgaum, when I was in 9th standard. I was in D division. One day one of the teachers called me and introduced to A division students, as I had performed well in the exams. That was my 1st encounter with Bhagoji teacher. She was my class teacher in 10th standard, when she taught English. Teacher used to give shelter for those students who have problems at home and cant study properly. This concept of her, gave birth to TEACHERMANI. In one sentence TEACHERMANI is the store house of KNOWLEDGE. It has produced many and many quality students, in different areas of education in various places on this earth. I am proud to be a part of this.

Why I am writing this post is because my dear TEACHER is going through one of the tough phases of her life now. I take this opportunity to request all of you, to join me in wishing that she gets out of all this very soon and nourish more and more students like me.
