How can somebody’s laughter bring me close to tears…

Today afternoon my friend, Mr. Ncore sent me a video, titled as above. I usually reply back him saying, I have already seen this video, but this time after watching the video I replied him I will include this one in my blog. I will not reveal what the video is really about. So please [...]

JANA-GANA-MANA-RANN HAI

When I first saw the trailer of RANN, I was sure that the song is going to creat a kind of controversy, and that has happened, which is obvious. Also there is a news that, Sensor Board has banned this title track. All this is because the song uses the lines and tune of our [...]

Mail Goggles: Google’s Solution for Drunk Emailing

Jon Perlow, Gmail Engineer @ Google labs, has developed a simple new feature for gmail users, which may stop them from sending mails, they might regret later. He calls it Mail Goggles. People are calling it Google’s solution for drunk e-mailing. Mail goggle, when enabled, asks the user to solve 5 simple maths problems before sending a mail, to confirm he/she is in right frame of mind.

Sounds interesting? Want to try this new feature?

1. Go to Google labs in your mail settings
2. Enable Mail Goggles, and save changes.
3. Go to General tab, in Settings and select the day and time, when goggles should be active. (Friday and Saturday 10PM to 4 AM will be default days and time)
4. You can also set the difficulty level of your maths problem here.

When I tried this feature I came across these things.

1. After enabling the feature, I tried to sent a mail and got one pop-up box with 5 maths problems, with a time limit of 60 seconds. When I answered all of them correctly and clicked send button the box disappeared and mail was sent.

2. This time I purposely answered one question wrong and hit send button, and I was shown a message “WATER AND BED FOR YOU. OR TRY AGAIN”, with 5 more simple math problems to answer in another 60 seconds.

3. One interesting thing that I found out during this, if I solve the problems one time then I will be allowed to send as many emails as I want to, even after 15 – 20 mins. But this was not the case when I signed out and again signed in. This time I was asked to answer 5 math problems before sending a mail. Same thing happened when I switched browsers.

You wanna try it??? ;)
